Custom made- As we know children are not that standard one size fits all and with over 20 years of being a pattern maker/ dressmaker we make an individual pattern to fit your child measurements.

What we do is customize your dress to what you want. Colour and style can be changed to be tailor made in 8-10 weeks.

You can buy standard sizing but this does cost more if alterations is required as alteration cost at added. It does not cost more to have a custom size dress made. Cost only changes if design is being altered.

Initial Consultation

A 30 -minute in store/online appointment ( free) or call for you to learn about the dress creation process and understand the timeline with your special occasion date.

Design Consultation

Review inspiration photos you’ve picked from our gallery, or  you can email, or message your photos to discuss your perfect dress vision with our designer.

Each MTK gown is custom made to your measurements and design.  We will require the below measurement

1. Chest Circumference

2. Waist Circumference

3. Length from shoulder to belly button

4. Length from shoulder to dress length (please ensure child is standing straight with head looking forward)

5. Sleeve length from shoulder if required 

You can also book a video call or be measured in store. You’ll confirm the measurements, silhouette, fabric, laces and dress finishes.

Once you pay your deposit you will receive an order number and a fitting appointment will be booked.

Finalise Dress Design

Sign off on your design summary before I begin the process in my work workroom! Allow 8-10 weeks for the creation of your designed dress. i will then book you in for a fitting or follow up on when you will receive your gown.

Your custom-made dress is here, and you designed it! Finally, your “Say Yes to the Dress” moment has arrived!

Alterations and Support

You should anticipate needing minimal or no alterations once you receive your dress or come for a fitting. I have been a dressmaker for 20+ years here to consult with you and your tailor(if you are not in Melbourne) regarding any questions or alterations if needed. If you are local we will fit you in for a store fitting to check the dress with you.

Refunds -  There are no refunds on custom-made deposits. Once a deposit is made this is confirmation to begin the process.
